Why Duck Farming?
Duck farming is becoming increasingly popular in rural Bangladesh due to its low maintenance and high returns. Ducks grow fast and adapt well to the local climate.
How to Start:
- Choose the Right Breed: Khaki Campbell and Indian Runner are great for egg production.
- Housing: Provide a clean, dry, and secure shed with access to water.
- Feeding: Ducks eat rice polish, kitchen waste, and grains.
- Water Access: Ducks love swimming. A pond or small water source boosts health.
- Health Care: Deworm regularly and vaccinate as advised.
With only 10–15 ducks, a farmer can start earning within 4–5 months.
